LVBC opened in 2014. We are nationally accredited and undergo a rigorous three-day inspection by the Commission on Accreditation of Birth Centers (CABC) every three years to maintain our status. We are also licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
The main birth room is designed for freedom of movement and to be a peaceful, home-like environment. We offer water birth and have nitrous oxide also. Our family room features a half bath, snack area with refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven and single use coffee maker for your use.
Your midwife will be present during your active labor and birth. One of our highly trained registered nurses is also present as you give birth. Emergency equipment is always at hand. Your care continues until you and your new baby have made a complete and safe initial transition.
A tour of the birth center is included with any orientation visit or at your initial prenatal visit.
